Tim, a Registered Architect and practice director, co-founded MOAA in 2010. Tim leads the development of MOAA’s design approach and has particular interest and extensive experience in education design. Tim graduated from Victoria University in Wellington with a Bachelor of Architecture and has a graduate diploma in Development Studies from Massey University.

Rhys, a Registered Architect and Christchurch office lead, joined MOAA in early 2022. He graduated from Victoria University in Wellington with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons), and has particular interest in commercial and retail design. Rhys has worked on projects in New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

Trent joined MOAA in 2018. Originally from Winnipeg, Trent completed his Bachelor degree at the University of Manitoba and his Master of Architecture at the University of Toronto. He subsequently worked in Architecture studios in both Winnipeg and Toronto before moving to New Zealand.

Sandra joined MOAA in 2023 after relocating to Christchurch. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning. Sandra’s experience extends beyond New Zealand, having worked in Egypt following graduation on residential, recreational and commercial projects.

Henry joined MOAA in 2017. Originally from Detroit, Henry completed his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Illinois Institute of Technology. He has previously worked in a large commercial practice in Auckland, where he held key roles in planning and documentation on large and complex projects.

Originally from Switzerland, Bastien has been with MOAA since 2019. Bastien received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at the School of Engineering and Architecture in Fribourg, Switzerland. His experience spans residential, education and civic projects.

Catarina joined MOAA in early 2023. She has a Licentiate’s Degree in Architecture obtained at Technical University of Lisbon and is a Registered Architect in Portugal. Catarina has worked in architectural practices in Madrid, Lisbon, and is now domiciled in Christchurch. Her work experience spans commercial, education, residential, and hotel projects.

A SACAP Professional Architect from Durban South Africa, he completed his Master of Architecture Degree at the University of Kwa Zulu-Natal. He subsequently worked in Architecture studios in both South Africa and the United Kingdom before moving to New Zealand.
